More than a project, a life mission
Coming from a family of scientific parents and farmer grandparents, the love of nature has been transmitted to me from generation to generation. I also had the chance to bathe, from a young age, in ancestral know-how such as the pressing of olive oil, the distillation of geranium& Neroli and the artisanal manufacture of soap. My studies in pharmacy allowed me to deepen my knowledge in galenic, botanic and dermo-cosmetics.
La création de la marque “HYPHEN” est partie d’un besoin personnel; celui de prévenir l’apparition des rides en toute sécurité. eh oui! … parce que je suis une femme et peut-être comme vous, arrivée à la trentaine, les signes d’âge qui commencent à apparaître.
It was also important to me to be able to value the natural wealth of my native country, to pay tribute to the small local producers and to the women of the underprivileged regions who do a laborious and precious work to obtain it. From that I decided to draw from my scientific background to work for something that has more meaning for me and to transmit my passion and my values through a premium organic skincare brand: HYPHEN. I wanted it to be a Hyphen between beauty and nature, between beauty and health, between those laborious unprivileged women and us and between you and Me. Today, I see beauty as a holistic process that respects the human being but also nature. And it is this vision of inside-out beauty that I will defend... A beauty that respects the human being and the planet...

Where does our prickly pear seed oil come from?
When choosing our raw material, smell, color and texture were key criteria for us!
And beyond quality, I wanted to opt for a very short circuit, to know the producer directly, to have a relationship of trust with him and especially to share the same values and the same work ethics!
We went to Tunisia to find the best oil!
Why Tunisia?
Parce que la Tunisie, avec ses 600 000 hectares de figue de barbarie (« le sultan de fruit” comme on dit en dialect tunisien) se place comme un leader mondial de la production de son huile.
Ce secteur vient donner un nouveau souffle économique mais surtout vient donner une lueur d’espoir et améliorer l’insertion sociale des femmes dans les régions rurales!
It is in a small village in Kasserine, a rural and disadvantaged area in central Tunisia, that our producer is located. A passionate producer and carrier of a project of organic agriculture through which he values an ancestral and artisanal know-how but also comes to help the women of this rural village who make all the stages of the harvest, the washing and the peeling by hand: a laborious and precious work!
Et ça nous tenait à cœur de choisir une huile de très haute qualité, à l’image des richesses naturelles de notre terre natale, mais aussi de pouvoir rendre hommage à ces petits producteurs et surtout à ces femmes qui travaillent sous l’ombre pour donner vie à une huile de qualité premium: un vrai or liquide!
Nous nous engageons bien sûr à les payer à juste valeur et nous assurer qu’elles travaillent dans des conditions dignes de leur courage et leur combat!

« Merci beaucoup ! Je suis très satisfaite par la qualité de cette huile, sa texture laisse un film légèrement gras mais qui s’estompe très rapidement car elle pénètre très bien. Je l’utilise également pour mes cheveux et j’ai vu la différence, ils sont plus soyeux et brillants. Je recommande vivement ! 🙏🏼😍 »

I highly recommend it because it's certified organic, moisturizing and easily absorbed. A very good quality price ratio, the droppers bottle makes it easy to measure the amount to apply.
+1 for the very classy and especially eco-responsible packaging (recycled glass and cardboard).

Je la recommande fortement car elle est certifiée bio, hydratante et pénètre facilement. Bon rapport qualité prix, le flacon pipette permet de bien doser la quantité à appliquer.

« Depuis la première utilisation , j’ai senti la différence, j’ai eu l’impression d’avoir une peau de bébé. Je l’ai même offert à ma belle mère qui a beaucoup apprécié la texture aussi. J’utilise hyphen pour mes cheveux aussi , j’ai retrouvé mes cheveux d’avant ( avant l’allaitement), c’est magique !! Franchement Bravo »
